Auschwitz – Birkenau
This concentration and Jewish extermination camp is located in Oświęcim and Brzezinki. It’s the only concentration camp protected by UNESCO. This is where murders and cremations of both Jews and Poles took place during the Second World War. This huge death camp reflects inhumane and unethical living conditions of war prisoners. Examples of brutal behaviours may be seen almost everywhere. Many books have been written on this subject, and this is truly impossible to describe the camp in just a few sentences. It’s breathtaking.
Apart from its historical values, Cracow can also be proud of other tourist attractions.
